The Graffiti Arts Project saw these murals painted on the Maranoa River Bridge at Mitchell, Qld. The series is entitled “Booringa Past, Present, Future”.

We’re moving into cattle country. These B-double cattle transports will soon give way to triple-trailer vehicles. The driver is checking the animals to make sure that they’re not in a tangled mess or being trampled underfoot.

The recent floodwaters may have receded but there’s still a lot of water in this normally drier region. Here’s the weir across the Maranoa River at Mitchell.

Some cute apostlebirds came to check out the food situation adjacent to where we’d parked the vehicles while inspecting the weir.
