Just roo’minating

Here’s a mob of kangaroos – a subset of the 40 or so that live around us – just quietly watching me, and dogs, as we pass by. The ‘roos have become quite quiet over the past few months – no longer hopping off when they see us.

The Rose-eating Swamp Wallaby

This old male Swamp Wallaby (Wallabia bicolor) is a regular around the house. He loves to eat rose leaves from our potted garden. It looks like he doesn’t mind vine leaves either. He’s become used to us and here he let me get within about 1 metre (3 or 4 feet) before he decided that that was close enough.
