Sawfly larvae on the move

At the side of the road I found some Sawfly larvae moving as one body – as is typical. They’re related to wasps but adults don’t have a stinger. If disturbed they excrete a yellow liquid which can reputedly burn your skin (I’ve not tested this myself). They’re also called Spitfires though the caustic liquid is dribbled rather than spat out.
