I was fixing up some fences in our creek paddock this morning and came across this single specimen of Fringe Lily. There were hundreds of them around the property a month or so ago, but this one seems to have made a solitary, late appearance.

I love these flowers. I thought I had killed them all off at our block because of mowing but was delighted to see quite a lot of them in flower a few weeks back. I guess I just have to be there at the right time.
