Looking out from the woodland to the paddock beyond, it’s easy to see that, while there’s a good coating of frost on the paddock grasses, no frost has settled on the grass below the tree canopy. The slightly higher temperature in the woodland provides some modicum of shelter and is the reason why the dogs and I see so many ‘roos and wallabies in amongst the trees when on our early morning walks.
Frost, and no frost
