As Spring began to come alive in September, the dogs and I would find snakes basking in the early sun as the overnight chill was replaced by the morning warmth. The snakes, mostly red-bellied blacks, would quickly slither back down to their Winter lairs as we passed by.

These snakes, while venomous, and not usually agreesive.
