Gara River in flood

It’s been wet. That can be said of much of eastern Australia in the past 18 months or so. Here’s the Gara River in flood yet again. This time, though, it’s the highest I’ve seen it. The height indicators are all under water which means that the water is at least 1.4 metres (4.5 feet) above the causeway. I turned back here.

    Surprised you turned back 🙂

I remember when Armidale was in flood, you would take great delight in steaming down the hill on Danger street then crossing the Dumaresq creek. Or has my memory got it wrong.
