Roadkill

I imagine this image may have some of you squirming, but it’s a fact or rural life that native fauna will become roadkill from time to time. This used to be a young kangaroo. The cycle of life revolves, and the carcass becomes a food source for maggots.

Wow that is really something. When we were out at out block yesterday one section had quite a stench. I didn’t go digging into the bushes to see what was there for fear of seeing something just like this. It will sort itself out in time. Much better than the time a possum died in our heating ducts on that occasion we had no choice but to clog up all the vents and wait for nature to take its course … which it did.
