We’re moving north and west from Longreach, and now nearly at Winton. This is a view from a “jump-up”, a mesa. The jump-ups in the area aren’t particularly high, maybe 70m (230 ft), but they seems to tower above the never-ending, flat, featureless land around them. The jump-ups on the horizon are, likewise, probably only 70m above ground level.
