We’re now in the land of triple-trailer road-trains. There’no such truck as an 18-wheeler here, these boys-toys are 62-wheelers.

It looks as if there are passenger trains. Are there?

Yes, there’s a twice-weekly passenger service, the Spirit of the Outback, from Brisbane to Longreach – a journey of 1325km (825 miles), taking nearly 24 hours.
