The Chandler River, being in a state of moderate flood, was flowing strongly and reasonably deeply. We decided against crossing it and decided, instead, to bush-bash downstream along side it.

Great looking place, & all those lovely rocks. Must be some soliceous rocks in there somewhere. I love foraging.
A Woodsrunner’s Diary.
A close friend of mine once found a stone with a depression for use as a bearing on a fire-bow, & on the end of this stone was a hole. He was able to put a leather thong through the hole so he could wear it round the neck. The bearing is the hardest piece to find when putting a fire-bow together.
