A small section of the area that we’ll call the goldfield was cleared of trees. This could be a natural clearing, or it could have been cleared to be used as a worksite or campsite? We found a handful of remnants indicating that the site had been used for some purpose – but nothing that was obviously identifiable as being some piece of equipment or other.
