We walked upstream from Youdale’s Hut to look for Dyson’s Hut. This hut was built by Cec Dyson and was used as accommodation when mustering in the area (in the mid 1900’s). This hut was later used by the Kempsey Speliological Society and was known as the Spelios Hut. A map of this area names the track we used to get to Dyson’s Hut as being the “Spelios Track”.

Several bushfires have passed through this area to leave only these remains to mark the location of the hut.
