Services that we city and even rural dwellers take for granted just aren’t available in the Outback. Power lines don’t reach into the interior – there isn’t the population or industry to support it. Electricity is generated locally, usually by diesel generators. Here’s the power source at William Creek, Two generators; one in service, the other as backup… and it’s not a cheap undertaking.
