Searching for my Australian relatives from NSW, I came across this interesting photo. Can you give me the location please? What type of shop was it?
    Regards,
    Ed

Fays Chambers.. Originally a four storey Lindon Bank Chambers, Lindon House, built in 1888.
In 1918 Edward Fay Pty ltd. Took over the site, and the Building was renamed as stated previously Fays Chambers,
EDWARD FAY SOLD SHOES..The building is on the corners of Pitt street and Liverpool Streets in Sydney
      ..Hope this info is helpful..

Hi Ed …Edward A Fay was my grandfather on my fathers side. My son actually got a tattoo of this clock on his arm.
I have just found your post and this site and was delighted to see it.

    Hi Ed,
I’m descended from Edward john Fay’s daughter Catherine b1832 Roscrea, Tipperary d1902 Leichhardt, Sydney. It would be good to make contact.

this clock is the clock on the building that my grandfather Edward Fay worked as the director of Fay’s Shoes. I think it is on the corner of Pitt And Market St.,Sydney

I am enquiring if any of Edward Fay’s descendants would be interested in purchasing any of the shoe catalogues which my great grandmother saved all these years .Thank you .
