Tamworth Saddlery

Now, finishing up the photowalk of Tamworth’s CDB, the final image in the set. The Saddlery. I’ve no idea why it’s also called the “Western Store” – perhaps some connection with the old Wild West?

It probably relates to the fact that they sell “Western” riding equipment. “Western” being a style of riding requiring specific saddlery. Australian ‘stock’ saddles are a combination of traditional english saddles mixed with a bit of western for working cattle. 🙂 (Horse Geek here)
