Fishy tails

We were slightly surprised to find a couple of fish lying near the edge of the Macleay River. The best guess as to what they are is that they are a native fish called “Yellowbelly” or “Golden Perch“. The Macleay River wouldn’t be their natural habitat but these fish are used to stock dams for recreational fishing so it may be that they were washed into the river at some point.
