Well weathered statue

Shat-upon statue

It’s hard to tell if the weather or bird-poo has made more of a mark of this well worn statue in King’s Park, Perth, WA.

The sun is immediately behind the statue and I’m standing in the statue’s shadow to take this photograph. Given the strong light falling on the camera’s exposure meter, I had to make a best guess for an exposure to bring out the detail on the statue.

Unfortunately I don’t remember the name of the person honoured in the statue.

[Update: Bronwyn reckons it’s Sir John Forrest].
