Crunchy underfoot

The dogs and I saw white for much of our morning walk this morning. A cold, crunchy -5°C (23°F) frost welcomed us to the day.

Yep, nothing like the first “frost flowers” of the season to bring the camera out. Not quite as heavy here at Rocky River but there have been a number of “100% coverage” frosts over the last few weeks.

Typical New England Tablelands winter weather – a frost so heavy you could almost skate on it at the beginning of another bright, clear day without a cloud in the sky.
