In Sydney: Jacaranda in flower

A jacaranda in flower by the side of Circular Quay, Sydney. These trees are frost intolerant so we don’t have then anywhere near home.

  1. ah yes, that's another thing I miss about Sydney.
On the other hand, Canberra does have wonderful displays of cherry blossoms in August/September

  2. Richard Watson says:

I remember flying into Adelaide, in early November, on our way to Kangaroo Island for 2 weeks and the thing that impressed us most was the sight of the jacaranda's in full bloom. Now, if they had the scent of the Frangipani and the fruit of the cherry, they just might be the perfect tree.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Please keep the photo's coming, they certainly brighten up some dull days here in the UK's dark and dreary winter.
