Industrial archaeology in the making

Rail tracks pushed to the side of an adit at Khan’s Mine in Oxley Wild Rivers National Park. The tracks were perhaps used to move wagons filled with ore from the mine to a processing area.

Perhaps in a few hundred years or so an industrial archaeologist will uncover these iron rails and try to piece together the generations of mining operations that once took place here.
