Nundle Woollen Mill: carding machine

20071208-14-06-34.jpg

A visit to Nundle, a town of less than 300 people, sees a visit to its Woollen Mill. The noisiest equipment is behind glass which is great for the visitors but challenging for photographers (being highly reflective).

This is a view of the carding machine. This particular machine was built by the Platt Co. at Oldham, England, in 1914.
