Copperhead snake

Copperhead all curled up

The walk in the Cathedral Rock National Park turned out to be the walk with the snakes. Here’s a Copperhead that was curled up at the side of the track. It was a cool day (by snake standards) and this one was probably trying to soak up any heat it could.

[As quiet as this snake was, I wasn’t about to attempt to clear the extraneous blades of grass away just to get the perfect image!]
